Indian delegation headed by Mr. Harpal Singh who is the first cousin of Prime Minister of India and Chairm Fortis Health Care Limited as well as SRL, Ranbaxy Ltd, and Director, Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd visited PIC on 17th December 2004. The visit of these highly placed businessman and entrepreneur from India was intended to explore co-operation and the possibility of joint ventures in the field of healthcare and Pharmaceutical Industry.
1st Indo Pak Heart Summit was organized by Escort Heart Institute & Research Center at Amritsar on 10th & 11th April, 2004. It was the first time any major interaction between the two countries in the field of medicine was organized. Since the heart diseases on both sides of the border are likely to be similar the joint Heart Summit was of immense value for the people of Pakistan and India. A 20 member team of PIC consultants and doctors visited Amritsar, India under the supervision of Prof. Jawad Sajid Khan.
